Notes:

Let me change gears and talk about the hardest thing about of being a modern physician: keeping up with the literature.

We have at four different journal clubs at Penn.

Our ancillary journal club reviews over 25 core journals every month.

How do you know which articles to read?

One of the journals I review is the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Every month, I would schlep over to the library, skim the table of contents, flip to the abstract, xerox the paper, take it home, and fall asleep reading.
