RE: SPONSORSHIP OF THE ONLINE ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS FOR THE INTERNET DERMATOLOGY SOCIETY

Here is a proposal for an educational grant for the Online Scientific Abstract Submission for the Internet Dermatology Society's Annual Meetings which run biannually the day preceeding the American Academy of Dermatology meetings with 5 Category I CME accreditation.

Background: The Internet Dermatology Society is responsible for pioneering online abstract submission. We had the first online abstract submissions for the Society for Investigational Dermatology in 1995, 1996 and 1997. The process was published and presented at the April 1997 SID meeting in Washington D.C. The process allowed for a significant increase in the number of abstract submissions to the meetings. The Internet Dermatology Society is seeking sponsorship to provide this forum for scientific abstracts relating to therapeutics and future technology advances in dermatology and allied sciences at no charge to the submitters. (The SID charged $35 per abstract submission). Sponsorship includes the company banner at the head of the forms, links to the company homepages and recognition at the IDS meetings. A reputation for supporting scientific achievement in skin disease and allied sciences naturally follows.

The abstract form can be found at:

We are asking for a grant support of $5,000 per year to offset our operating expenses related to this service.

Tax ID #06-1464524.
Included is a W-9 form for tax purposes.
